Monday Morning Sports: Marlins Tribute

On September 26th, the Marlins played a baseball game against the New York Mets. The Sunday before the game, a fellow player on the Marlins had been killed in a boating accident. The team played their game as a tribute to Jose Fernandez. Gordon, a left-handed hitter, took his first pitch batting right-handed in memory of Fernandez, who was right-handed.
