Live Your Destiny: The 6th Secret To Making Wise Decisions

Wise Decisions You win or lose by the way you choose. I hope you have put that phrase to memory throughout the week. If you’ve missed any of this week’s blog be sure to check them out, you will be glad you did. Because making wise decisions is the key to living a life of winning.

Today I want to give you the last secret to making wise decisions:

1. Live Your Destiny

There comes a time in the decision making process that you stop talking and start acting. The Proverbs writer says this:“Commit your work to the LORD, and then your plans will succeed.” (Proverbs 16:3 NLT) The moment you begin acting on a decision is the moment of commitment.

Stealing 2nd

Think of it this way. In baseball one of the most exciting plays is when a runner on first base decides to steal 2nd base. The pitcher throws the pitch, the runner goes and the catcher can’t wait to get the ball so that he can make the throw to 2nd. It’s an awesome moment. However, the runner cannot steal 2nd base until he is willing to go all in and run full out for 2nd base. He cannot steal 2nd and keep his foot on first base. It requires commitment to successfully steal 2nd base.

Whatever you commit to focus on determines whether you make it or not, whether or not you are successful. I pray that you have great dreams. I pray that you sense and feel you have untapped potential living within. And I pray that you will walk through the 6 secrets I’ve given you in the Life Palette blog this week and make a wise decision to live in the destiny God has for you as His masterpiece!

All 6 Secrets

Let me recap the 6 Secrets for making wise decisions from this week’s Life Palette blog:

  1. Get God’s Perspective
  2. Decide To Obey
  3. Determine Obstacles And Problems
  4. Formulate A Plan
  5. Delegate As Much As Possible
  6. Live Your Destiny

Let me ask you today what decision do you need to make to live the destiny you know is waiting for you? Don’t waste your life.  Don’t live in mediocrity.  Don’t just exist.  Make the decisions that will determine your destiny.  To be fully alive means to be living in faith and taking the risk God wants you to take. Build that business, get that degree, do that dream, start on that goal!  Begin using that talent!  Go for that ministry!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jer 29:11-12 NIV)
