Fresh Off The Easel: Suddenly Motionless

This is a 30×30″ oil on canvas that is fresh off the easel! Elk are one of my favorite animals. I love being in the woods and coming across a gang of elk. They are such magnificent creatures. This elk is one that our family came across while we were in Canada. He was standing on the side of the road and we were able to get really close to it. It was incredible to be able to be in his presence. I’m so glad I was able to get good pictures of him to paint.
