This week I have been putting the finishing touches on several pieces that will all be entered into a western show. The deadline is next week – I have 2 more that need several hours worth of work still. Here is another from a series I did from some cowboys and cowgirls that I ran across in the mountains of Wyoming on a painting trip. The first one of this guy is entitled “Rush’n The River”, this one is a different view as he continued to cross the water: “Spirited Ride” a 20 x 18″ oil on canvas. Make me want to ride. My good friend Les and I have been talking about how the warm temps of Tucson are about to give way to cooler mornings – we are planning on getting our on his horses for some morning rides. And, get some good references for future paintings. Les is the real deal when it comes to cowboys, and is a gracious model!
After finishing up these contest pieces I have 2 larger desert sunset pieces that are nearly finished that I need to get back up on the easel to finish for a couple of friends!
