“Before The Mountains Were Born” is a 24×36″ original oil painting fresh off the easel. This is my kind of spot. I painted this piece from reference material that I took in the Whiskey River Basin in Wyoming. I’m sure that this time of year this place is probably covered with snow and ice. I however had the privilege of painting it in my studio in Arizona, with the door wide open to the beautiful sunlight and warm temperature of 88%. I traveled to this spot to paint, although it looks like it would be a great fishing hole. (In the summer of course!)
