You Choose Your Destiny With Fear Or Faith

Click here to watch this talk from the series Fight.

In the Bible Paul the apostle said: “Fight the good fight for the true faith.” (1 Tim 6:12 NLT) Fight? Yes, fight for a life of faith, which is the life God has created you to live as His masterpiece.  Fight to live out your potential through faith, don’t allow fear to contain you and keep you from the “rich and satisfying life” that Jesus came to give you. In today’s video blog I’m going to show you how to deal with the tension that you experience between fear and faith. While God has given you a destiny, you have a part in it, its part of developing your Life Palette, you choose if you are going to live the destiny He has for you with fear or faith. Your choice dictates the outcome of your life – fear will limit you – faith will free you to live in the fullness of all that God has for you.

  • You Choose Your Destiny With Fear Or Faith

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”  (Heb 11:1 NLT)

1. Train To Fight For Faith

“… run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.” (1 Cor 9:24-25 (NLT)

“…train yourself to be godly. Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” (1 Tim 4:7-8 NLT)

“…older women must train the younger women…(men) encourage the young men to live wisely.”(Titus 2:4&6 NLT)

2. Take The Next Step Of Obedience

“So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should.” (1 Cor 9:26-27 NLT)

3. Trust God With The Outcomes

“…consider (troubles) an opportunity for great joy…when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow…when endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”  (James 1:2-4 NLT)

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me…” (2 Tim 4:7-8 NLT)
