Don’t settle for what you have. There is so much potential in you waiting to be set free. Potential is always present. Your potential demands that you not settle for past growth and accomplishments. Potential is calling out to you to go beyond where you are right now.
One of the biggest dangers to your potential tomorrow is today’s success. To think that you have arrived or have achieved all that you can or want is a lie. If you believe that lie it will steal tomorrows potential. God’s desire is for you to maximize the potential He has placed within you until the day you die.
You are not yet all that you are suppose to be. There is more! To continue to grow and fulfill your potential you need to:
Recognize that your current state in life is not your final state in life.
It is just a current state. Again, there is more. And the more is good. How do I know? God Himself says so: “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT)
Reach for your next accomplishment.
Your current accomplishments are not your final accomplishment. Don’t be satisfied with the past. Look to the future and all that you’ve yet to accomplish, all the dreams and hopes that are still out there waiting for you to explore and pursue.
The moment you begin to settle for where you are and what you have, you begin to stifle the potential that is within you. Don’t do it. Commit right now to completely exploit the God-given gifts, talents, and abilities that are within you. Decide to explore the dreams, hopes, and possibilities that are in your heart and mind.
Whatever potential you have recognized within yourself, know there is more. Don’t waste your potential. Begin today by putting Jeremiah 29:11 to memory.
