I loved the start of our new series last weekend called Exponential – very challenging as we set off at the beginning and it will continue to challenge us over the next few weeks. This weekend I will continue this series with My Life To The Power Of Relationships.
Always good news to know we are living out Jesus mission and the churches here at Alive Church. Last weekend we had 8 people make commitments to follow Jesus – Awesome!!! Does that ever get old? I don’t think so!!!
Most of you are like our family, focusing on getting our kids back to school, supplied and ready to go. It is hard to believe the summer has passed by so quickly. (If we could get the Tucson heat to move out so fast!) Here at Alive Church we are in full swing for our Big Day to launch our Courageous series on the weekend of Sept. 17/18 to coincide with the movie Courageous. (Produced by the folks who did Fire Proof) Our goal is that we would double in attendance for that weekend.
We are looking at buying out some theaters for an early showing of the movie for all of Alive to attend and bring a friend. Just another way of us partnering together to live out our mission. Along with Beast Feast (fancy way to say we are BBQ) that weekend around our services to connect with everyone, and some jumping castles etc for the kids! Be praying as we invest in outreach and evangelism!
A couple of prayer needs: The opportunity for a youth pastor at Oro Valley is top priority, we are grateful for Jace W. leading this area for the interim. At Twin Peaks we have an opportunity for a Children s ministry leader – let’s all pray – Lord of the harvest send the workers.
You will be hearing about our fall semester Life Group launch over the next several weeks. We will be launching them around the Courageous series teaching. I want to encourage everyone at Alive to get in a Life Group this fall.
