“Quick! Catch all the little foxes before they ruin the vineyard of your love, for the grapevines are all in blossom.” (Song 2:15 NLT) It’s the little things that make the difference between success and failure, which is living as a masterpiece or a forgery. Take a moment and rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 on each of these 5 little things (1 meaning this little thing needs your attention right now and 10 meaning this is an area of strength for you)
1. A Little Indifference
“I walked by the field of a lazy person, the vineyard of one lacking sense. 31 I saw that it was overgrown with thorns. It was covered with weeds, and its walls were broken down.” (Prov 24:30-32 NLT)
2. A Little Foolishness
“Dead flies will cause even a bottle of perfume to stink! Yes, an ounce of foolishness can outweigh a pound of wisdom and honor.” (Eccl 10:1 NLT)
3. A Little Sin
“How terrible that you should boast about your spirituality, and yet you let this sort of thing go on. Don’t you realize that if even one person is allowed to go on sinning, soon all will be affected?” (1 Cor 5:6-7 NLT)
4. A Little Unfaithfulness
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”(Luke 16:10 NIV)
5. A Little Speech Problem
“And a tiny rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot wants it to go, even though the winds are strong. So also, the tongue is a small thing, but what enormous damage it can do.” (James 3:4-5 NLT)
