Grace Sounds Like a Party!

The Sound of Grace - Part Two

party

I hope you were able to join us as I continued in part two of our weekend series The Sound of Grace at Alive Church. This past weekend, I spoke about one of my favorite sounds of grace: The Sound of a Party. As you can see, we threw a bit of party during our worship services. We even had some beachballs being thrown in the air during one of the songs!

It was great to see everyone having so much fun while worshipping God! Next time, I might even try crowd surfing. What do you think, an accident waiting to happen?

Whether we initiate a crowd surfing accident during church or do anything else that might not align with God’s will for us, we can always remember that we are restored by grace.

Whatever choices we make, however many times we go to God to repent, remember that God gives us grace…every time!

In this week’s talk, The Sound of a Party, I walked through Luke 15:11-29, using a modern-day example of a prodigal son who left his father’s car dealership to pursue “wild living” in Las Vegas. If you missed the talk, I encourage you to check it out online to learn about four ways we are restored by God’s grace.

The grace we receive from God through Jesus is worth celebrating, and I hope you’ll remember how much Heaven rejoices when we choose to accept God’s grace, whether it’s for the first time or after a hundred times.

And what’s even better is, like the father in the story of the prodigal son, we can reflect God’s love by extending grace to others.

What will you do to celebrate God’s grace this week? What will you do to extend God’s grace to others?

Know that I’m praying for you as you think about the answers to those questions.

In Christ,

Jeff
