For artists, there’s nothing quite like the day a painting is ready to leave the studio and go on display to the public. It’s their masterpiece; they’ve labored over it with a purpose in mind and are excited to finally share it with the world. It’s incredible for the artist to be at a gallery or a show and to hear the response of those who see the painting for the first time.
The Most Incredible Truth
God, the artist of your life, your loving Heavenly Father, is also proud of you. He’s excited about your life and how it reflects Him and all that He is. In His sovereignty, God sees and knows your past, present, and future. But here’s an even more incredible truth. Because God is God, He has already added the finishing touches to the masterpiece of your life, even before it’s completed. It’s passionately inspired, personally signed, and carefully framed by Him.
Your Hope For The Future
There’s nothing more encouraging than to understand that God has already put the finishing touches on your life as His masterpiece. It brings you undeniable hope for the future! Yet as a real-life work of art, the display of your life as His masterpiece remains both limited and empowered by your Life Palette.
You Are Not An Accident
You are not an accident. You are a well thought out, pre-planned masterpiece that God as the artist has pursued through every moment of your life. I realize you may not be in a place where you see it. You may feel abandoned, or that everything about living as a masterpiece falls on you. You may feel lost in the storm all alone. Yet nothing could be further from the truth. God’s light is piercing through the darkness and headed straight toward you. The picture given through Zechariah’s prophecy at Jesus’ birth reveals His ever-persistent, passionate pursuit of you: “Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.” (Luke 1:78-79) The path of peace is part of living as a masterpiece. The more you see and understand His pursuit of you, the more you will live in hope and, ultimately, a rich and satisfying life as His masterpiece (John 10:10)
