4 Truths About Your Future

Future How do you see your future?  “The best is yet to come” or “It’s only going to get worse”?  I hope it’s “the best is yet to come”! However, the reality is that the number one fear for people is fear of the future. Why? Because the future is unknown and uncontrollable.

Here is the truth: truth will protect you from the fear and illusion of the future. Here is what the Psalmist said: “I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.”  Because God has created you as His masterpiece there are several truths that you can depend on regarding your future:

He Knows Everything That Is Going To Happen

He can see it all; He is not limited by time. He can be in the past, present and future all at the same time. “You saw me before I was born.  Every day of my life was recorded in your book.  Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.”  (Psalm. 139:16 NLT)

He Has A Plan For Your Future

“’I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord,’ plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”  (Jeremiah. 29:11 NLT) It’s your choice to either get in and cooperate with God or miss out on the masterpiece life He created you to live. Make sure you do not allow apathy, arrogance or simply being ignorant of His plan for you to cause you to miss out on life as the masterpiece He created you to be. God has thought and planned for your future much more than you have. And His guarantee is found in Jeremiah 29:11.

He Will Be With Me Every Step Of The Way

Regardless of what happens you don’t have to go it alone. In Matthew 28:20 Jesus said: “…be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  Jesus’ words are a picture of God’s faithfulness; He will always be with you.

Your Future Is Secure Because Of God’s Faithfulness

“If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself.” (2 Timothy 2:13 NLT)

He is faithful to:

1. Guide You

2. Strengthen You

3. Reward You

When you do what God wants you to do…you can count on God to reward you at some point! I want to suggest to you to stop focusing on being scared and start focusing on faith…

In Isaiah 43:2-3 we see God’s words to all of us: “When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you.  When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown!  When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up… for I am the Lord your God.” In light of that – what are you afraid of?  Notice He doesn’t say you won’t feel fear. Rather He will infuse you with power, His power.

Don’t let fear hold you back for another moment. Make this the moment you make a move toward life as the masterpiece God created you to be. Do not allow fear to be a part of your Life Palette!
