Are You Missing In Action?

missing

Do you feel overwhelmed? Burned out? Frustrated?  Perhaps you feel like life is an endless cycle and you just want to get off the treadmill for a while. You may think that you just need a good long vacation, then you go on vacation only to get back to life and have the same feelings dominate your thinking. In the words of Jack Nicolson: “What if this is as good as it gets?” You have the sense that there is more. You long for more. You want there to be more. And there is!!!

As a public speaker and author over the years, I have provided training to many people regarding the struggles listed in the above paragraph. My research and personal findings reveal that almost all of those feelings stem from the fact that most people are missing in action (M.I.A.). What action you may ask? The action of living their God-given life mission!

If you are wondering if you are M.I.A. when it comes to your life mission, the first thing you need to ask is whether or not you are clear as to what it is. Can you explain your life mission to those around you in a short paragraph? Do you wake up in the mornings with a vigor and enthusiasm that you are headed into the day to fulfill another day of living that mission?

You may simply feel you don’t have time to think about it or work on it. You know you are just trying to pay the bills. The tyranny of the urgent is a thief when it comes to knowing and living your life mission. Another reason I find people not living in the clarity of life mission is it feels overwhelming to them to get to a point of clarity. You don’t have a clear roadmap to navigate to the destination of a life mission.

This is one of the areas I love coming alongside people in, it’s part of my life mission! So over the next several blogs, I’m going to share with you some practical and important tools that you can implement to make progress on clarifying your life mission. No need to live another day M.I.A.
